Subject to conditions prescribed by the undersigned, Prequalification Questionnaires from Contractors licensed as follows:

PRICE CENTER SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

Estimated Construction Cost: $850,000
The project includes demolition of over 100LF of sewer main and installation of approximately 250LF of 10” and 450LF of 12” private sewer main, located on three separate sites all near Geisel Library on UC San Diego property.
The University seeks General Engineering Contractors with demonstrated experience in utility construction within an operational facility and active pedestrian areas. Specific experience requirements includes: underground utility work using open-cut methods requiring phased construction work areas and implementation of complex traffic and pedestrian control to complete the work, and construction of sewer mains 12-inches or greater in diameter. Contractors must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the installation of utility infrastructure.
Estimated Construction duration is approximately three (3) months.
The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $10,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on a minimum of three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as a General or Prime Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: urban site with limited construction and staging areas; pipeline installations requiring proactive and innovative solutions; project complexity requiring tracking of multiple construction phases, critical path construction, phasing plan development, and execution.

Confidentiality of the information provided will be respected to the extent permitted by law.
Response to the Prequalification Questionnaire must be submitted on the forms contained within the Prequalification Questionnaire available at the address above.

A mandatory Prequalification Conference will be conducted on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Capital Program Management, 10280 N. Torrey Pines Rd., Ste 466, Large Conference Room, La Jolla, CA 92037. Campus maps can be found at http://maps.ucsd.edu.
A second mandatory Prequalification Conference will be conducted on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
*If your firm attended the initial Prequalification Conference on Thursday, April 4, 2019, it is not mandatory to attend the 2nd mandatory Prequalification Conference.
Attendance at the Prequalification Conference is mandatory for Contractors attempting to become prequalified to bid on this specific project.
Metered parking spaces are available (for up to 2 hours) in the service yard/shuttle stop parking lot and underground parking area of Torrey Pines Center South. Please allow ample time to secure parking. Contractors must be present for the entire conference.

No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
