Project Title MH S-25, 42-43 HVAC Replacement - MCH
RFQ Text The University of California, San Diego, will be selecting an Executive Engineer to perform design, construction drawings, bid, and construction phase services for replacement of AHU’s S-25, S-42 & S-43 with one AHU serving the 2nd floor NICU at the existing patient tower at the UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest, 200 W. Arbor Drive, San Diego, California.  The project is subject to the campus/university academic and administrative approval process.

This project consists of the replacement of AHU’s S-25, S-42 & S-43 with one AHU serving the 2nd floor NICU and replacement of Exhaust Fans E-64 & E-65.  Each of these components are in poor conditions and have exceeded their useful life.  All plumbing and electrical to new AHU & new EFs shall be brought up to Code.  The roof shall be repaired from the removal of existing systems and supports.  All new EFs and new AHU terminations at the existing roof shall be flashed.  Structural and Fire Alarm drawings will also be required for OSHPD submittal. Project phasing is of utmost importance in keeping the department functioning during the remodel. The approximate total construction cost is estimated at $1,300,000 at CCCI 6455.

Final selection and appointment is contingent upon project approval.
