Project Title 5053 and 5150 Nuevo West Graduate Student Housing and Nuevo East Graduate Student Housing (Special Inspection)
RFQ Text UC San Diego requests qualifications from firms for Special Inspections and Materials Testing Services for the Nuevo West Graduate Student Housing and Nuevo East Graduate Student Housing projects.
  
The residential building structures will consist of spread concrete foundations, concrete frame/shear walls, post-tensioned concrete floors and roof structure. Services may include field labor/inspection and laboratory testing for, but not limited to: Reinforced Concrete, Post Tensioned Concrete, Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, and Fireproofing.

The selected firm will provide testing, inspections, and observations of work installed by the University’s contractor as required by applicable state building codes. Services will be required starting in December 2017 and will continue through June 2020.

The complete scope of work is delineated in the project plans, specifications, schedule and other documentation provided. Respondents are to provide an estimate for all anticipated special inspection services based upon the documents referenced and current prevailing wage criteria. Proposals are due no later than 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Final selection and appointment is contingent upon project approval.
