Project Title 4777 East Campus Parking Structure 2
RFQ Text The East Campus Parking Structure II will provide 1249 parking spaces in a seven level, 466,174 square foot, post tensioned concrete structure. Included in the Project is a Thermal Energy Storage Tank (approximately 1,200,000 gallon) and additional infrastructure for future TES Tank.

The selected firm will provide testing, inspections and observations of work installed by the University’s contractor as required by applicable state building codes. Services will be required starting no later than January 2015 and will continue through September 2015.

The complete scope of work is delineated in the project plans and specifications. A firm will be selected based on the following criteria:

A. Related experience on similar projects.
B. Proposed staff experience (include résumés).
C. References.
D. Estimate
1. Assume 40 hour work week-no overtime,
2. Include sample pick-up charge in unit pricing,
3. Include standard fee schedule in addition to the estimate based on the supplied schedule,
4. Material Testing shall take place within a 30 mile radius of the Project,
5. Shoring/Soil Nailing is not part of this scope,
6. Although overtime is not anticipated concrete placement will may take place at night. Include how this activity would be addressed.

UCSD will select a firm based on qualifications. Firms wishing to be considered must submit a proposal based on the Selection Criteria describe above. Final selection and appointment is contingent upon project approval.  Three (3) hard copies of this proposal are due in this office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
